Book Update: Blurb and ARC Giveaways

L.C. Fathom

Hello, all!

As I continue working on my final manuscript for Utopia Paradox, its blurb is also evolving. I wanted to give an update on that, welcome new readers, and hear everyone's feedback! Here goes:

"This is the story of a different America; a country that some even call a ‘liberal utopia’ for its improved protection of human rights, workers’ rights, environmental conditions, and personal freedoms. Despite the significant benefits of this new egalitarian America, one young man feels alone in his resentment of it. He was raised to see these changes as a dystopian hellscape designed to discriminate against all white, Christian, conservative men. Men like him. He's nostalgic for the old America he's heard of from stories all his life, from before the human rights revolution, before things changed. He struggles with seeing everything around him as an unfair scheme designed to put him down, to make him feel inferior.

As he tries to find his place in the world, he feels further and further disconnected from the seemingly happy people around him, even his close friends. It was only a matter of time before his true feelings and intentions were exposed and his world was changed forever. Now he has a choice to make. Will he face the truth about America's graphic history and need for change, or will he continue pursuing the romanticized America from a past that never was? And, after confronting the past, can John find a personal freedom from its shadow that he never knew he needed?"

The TLDR version:

"In this book, the well-known story of American inequality is told from the unexplored perspective of someone living 'on the inside' of privileged America who is confronted with his ignorance, then has to learn what it's like to live without those privileges. The hard way."
